1995

Creation of Protime by Peter s' Jongers, Eric and Luc Timmermans and Piet Verstraete  

1997

Protime moves its first offices to Antwerp

2005

10th anniversary of the company with more than 40 employees.

2008

Acceleration of the development in the Netherlands through the acquisition of the Dutch company Prosphera. For the first time, the group's turnover exceeds 10 million euros. 

2009

Move to the Aartselaar office. Opening of an office in Paris.

2010

Opening of Manchester office

2011

SD Worx acquires a stake in Protime

2013

Opening of an office in Germany

Protime's Belgian offices are awarded the Great Place To Work label for the first time. 

2014

Opening of an office in Luxembourg

2016

The Dutch offices of Protime become a Great Place To Work. This will also be the case in the years following this first award

2018

Acquisition of the Lommel-based start-up « «Online werkrooster . 

Publication of Peter s'Jongers book "Pride! Why corporate culture is a strategic goal"

2020

Protime France receives the Great Place To Work label. 

Online werkrooster becomes Strobbo.

2021

The company exceeds 300 Protimers in 6 countries and 8 locations

2022

Founder and CEO of Protime Peter s' Jongers passes the torch to Gille Sebrechts. Protime is hiring more than 100 people. There is an increasing focus on internationalization. 

2023

[July] Protime becomes co-sponsor of Team SD Worx

On 23 July, at the start of the Tour de France Femmes, the logo of the market leader in time & attendance and workforce management will for the first time appear on the jerseys of the world's best women's cycling team. And this both front and back, under the logo of parent company SD Worx.

[December] Protime acquires Spanish competitor SoftMachine

SoftMachine is a specialist in its home country and supports around 450 national and international customers, mainly medium-sized companies. The acquisition is part of Protime's ambition to become the European market leader in workforce management solutions. 

2024

[February] Protime acquires Sheepblue, an Austrian AI technology for workforce scheduling

This AI-based workforce planning software was developed by the Austrian startup of the same name. The tool focuses on sectors in which work is carried out in shifts, such as logistics and manufacturing, which involve a large number of factors such as shift changes, day and night work and so on.

2025

[January] In 2025, we proudly celebrate 30 years of Protime. For three decades, we've been shaping a powerful story around time registration, workforce management, and the continued growth of our once-in-a-lifetime employer brand. A milestone we honour with gratitude and a clear focus on the future.

[September] Protime welcomed Jan Van Autreve as its new CEO, succeeding Gille Sebrechts and marking the beginning of the next chapter in our story. Jan stepped into the role to build on our legacy of innovation and further strengthen our position as Europe’s number one in workforce management.

2026

Protime acquires workforce planning specialist Checks, strengthening its planning capabilities and expanding its position in the Benelux.
